Alison and Craig's Hallgarth Manor Wedding

Alison and Craig's Hallgarth Manor Wedding

Alison and Craig chose to tie the knot with a lovely ceremony at Chester-le-Street Methodist Church, and then continue their celebrations at the beautiful Hallgarth Manor Hotel, at Pittington in Durham, on what was an amazing and emotional day.

Here's a look at how it unfolded...

Here's a few words from Alison and Craig about how they planned their big day...

We chose Hallgarth Manor as we really liked the intimate feeling of the county style house with beautiful gardens for photos, and also the size of the reception room was perfect for our 100 daytime guests.

We had a dusky pink theme which was reflected in our flowers, centrepieces, cake and table plan.

We visited some wedding shows to get an idea of what we could do – there were some really good ones by Belle Bridal and LRS Events, with some suppliers that we booked.

We wanted a photographer whose style we liked, and we’d seen that Bride and Groom Wedding Photography’s photos were relaxed and beautiful, and they had really captured the mood of a friend’s wedding day.  Dave was really helpful and even met us at the venue before the wedding, which really helped things flow on the wedding day itself.  It was also good that they’ve got two photographers, as it made for a great range of photos!  We had lots of guests commenting how good the photographers were afterwards!

We also used Click Flash Photos for our evening entertainment. They provided props such as wigs, glasses and hats… all of the guests, young and old, enjoyed getting dressed up and they were even given a keyring of the photo to keep as a memory of the day!

Although a lot of people helped make the day so special I would have to give special thanks to our photographer, Dave at Bride and Groom Wedding Photography. He was great through the day and made us feel so at ease. The standard of the photos we received was fantastic!
